Our 9 Favourite Marketing Apps

You probably know this already, but at Voosh we LOVE apps. Apps have helped us tremendously over the last 6 months, and now, apps like Track and Trace are helping us live our day-to-day lives again.

One aspect of business that is becoming possible to manage via mobile is marketing. Because consumers spend so much time on their phones today, it makes sense that digital marketing apps would start to migrate there as well.

As the country is beginning to return to offices and the commute, we’re starting to need our mobile devices ‘on the go’ once again. This means we’re now often in situations where we might need to run our business, without a laptop nearby!

To find important data, check your social media accounts or create quick assets, you might pull out your phone and start typing in a website URL. But there are so many better options available.

Apps can help track your analytics, post updates, and even create content on the go. The marketing apps we detail in this blog will give you the tools, data, and peace of mind you need to make your busy life easier!

1) Google Analytics

When you need instant access to your website analytics, it’s hard to beat Google’s free solution. The mobile version of Analytics is a great way to get updates on performance when and where you need them. So if you have to know just how many impressions that new blog post is getting, it’s a matter of hopping into the app and drilling down to the correct page.

2) Canva

If you need to create professional images for social media, Canva’s app brings all the features from the web right onto your phone or tablet. You can use pre-built templates, and drag elements into place to create custom images to share! Thanks to Canva’s integrated social sharing you can easily share them directly to social media with a few taps on your phone screen. If you just need a simple image editor, then Canva is a great free tool.

3) HootSuite

HootSuite is a popular social media management app and it’s available on both iOS and Android. You can compose and post updates, get push notifications about new interactions, and reply to comments, tweets, or direct messages. Though HootSuite’s functionality and push notification support could be a little overwhelming, it’s a must-have for anyone who is out of the office and needs a “daily digest” of their social media interactions. All you need to do is disable push notifications from your regular apps, then fire up HootSuite.

4) Everypost

If you’re on the go and you get a text message from your boss to post the super important content, don’t panic! Everypost is a lightweight and simple way to create quick updates on a variety of social media platforms. Everypost is fantastic for firing off social media posts so Everypost gives you a fast way to spread the word on every channel at once. Just open the app, type up your update, and hit post.

5) Mention

Do you ever need to know what the internet is saying about you? Well, Mention has got your back. An app designed to monitor social media, blog posts, and news sites, Mention will give you up to date reports on who and what is being said online about you, your brand, and anything else you want to know. You can link to social media accounts for easier access, as well as create customized statistics that matter to your business.

6) Evernote

For marketers, Evernote is so much more than just a ‘helpful’ app. There are a hundred different ways to use Evernote, as it syncs to almost every platform out there. You can use it to write blog posts or content marketing ideas, to “clip” full articles or websites from your phone to reference or read later, and to remind yourself of tasks. For example, it’s a weekend and you come up with a brilliant idea for next week, all you have to do is snap a picture and add a note. On Monday, when you opened Evernote, the snapshot is ready and waiting for you, and you could even save the image to use in a blog post.

7) Buffer

Buffer is one of the most well known social scheduling apps. Its main function is to schedule updates to multiple accounts on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and Pinterest. The app also allows follow-up with statistics on how each post performed. The newest version of the iOS app even allows for sharing and scheduling from inside other popular apps like Safari. Buffer currently offers a free subscription and four competitively priced plans.

8) Facebook Pages Manager

With Facebook Groups, Facebook Marketplace, Facebook Watch, and the regular news feed all taking up space, it’s almost impossible to figure out how to keep on top of your Facebook business page. The Facebook Pages Manager app allows you to streamline most activities that are part of managing a Facebook page. These can include posting, commenting and liking, and also replying to private messages. You can handle page management controls via this Facebook app, change details, images and even track statistics. Best of all the app is totally free to use.

9) Facebook Ads Manager

If you run ads for Facebook or Instagram, this marketing app assists with running Facebook or Instagram advertising campaigns from your phone. With this app, you can stay on top of your campaigns, edit schedules and budgets, easily create and track Facebook ads and receive notifications all in the palm of your hand. No matter where you are, this app will help you stay on top of your ad spend and your campaign success. Just like the pages app, the Facebook Ads Manager App is free.
